    DRAIN LINING

In many cases it is no longer necessary to excavate and renew faulty drains, the benefits of avoiding an expensive and disruptive excavation seem even better when the speed and convenience of the drain lining method is used. There are many reasons why drains crack, it may be due to ground movement or vehicle traffic or simply because old clay pipes rely on rigid cement joints that eventually fail. The result is the same, cracks appear and allow foul water to leak into the soil or fresh water to enter the system, roots then invade the line leading to blockages and the eventual collapse of the system. If remedial action is taken in time it is possible to restore the integrity of the pipes and prevent further deterioration. The resin liner will also improve the flow rate by reducing friction and provide a highly resilient, permanent, seamless tube inside your existing pipe. The resin impregnated liner may be blown into the drain using specialised equipment or winched through depending on circumstances. A removable inflatable tube is then blown in under pressure and liner is forced into contact with the previously defective pipe until curing takes place. The skilled operatives calculate the chemical proportions of the resins taking into account the ambient temperature and ultra violet conditions, this ensures that each drain run is out of use for the minimum amount of time and that you can use it the same day.
