Drain Lining
Drain lining is more economical than excavation and renewal of faulty drains and can be an effective way of repairing cracked drains.
Drain Lining
Drain lining involves adding a resin liner to a damaged pipe. The resin liner will also improve the flow rate by reducing friction and provide a highly resilient, permanent, seamless tube inside your existing pipe or drain.
The resin impregnated liner may be blown into the drain using specialised equipment or winched through depending on circumstances. A removable inflatable tube is then blown in under pressure and liner is forced into contact with the previously defective pipe until curing takes place. Our skilled engineers calculate the chemical proportions of the resins taking into account the ambient temperature and ultra violet conditions, this ensures that each drain run is out of use for the minimum amount of time and that you can use it the same day.
Cracked drains
There are many reasons why drains crack. This may be due to ground movement or vehicle traffic or simply because old clay pipes rely on rigid cement joints that eventually fail. The result is the same, cracks appear and allow foul water to leak into the soil or fresh water to enter the system, roots then invade the line leading to blockages and the eventual collapse of the system.
If remedial action is taken in time when a drain is cracked it is possible to restore the integrity of the pipes and prevent further deterioration.Drain lining is one method of repairing cracked drains.
