Patch Lining
Cracked drains occur over a period of time caused by ground movement, water infiltration, root damage or vehicular traffic.
Water seeping out of the damaged joints or cracks can wash away the supporting soil around the drain and left unrepaired, the drain will ultimately collapse.
In the past the only solution has been to locate the defective area and excavating to expose the drain and repair the piper. This can be expensive and create unwanted disrpution.
Inten now offers a range of no dig techniques for cracked drains that repair structural and non-structural defects, providing a much quicker, more efficient and cost effective solution to the problem.
Patch lining
Patch liners can be used to repair holes and small cracks in drains. Inten use Renoline patch lining kits, which have been the market leader for many years. We offer a 5 year guarantee for our patch lining service. By sealing the area of water ingress either using localised patch liners or chemical grouting we prevent any further loss of support and reduce the risk of future failure.
How it works
The patch is spread out and impregnated using an epoxy resin before being wrapped around a pipe packer. The pipe packer is then inserted into the drain or sewer up to the point of the defect before being inflated, after an hour or so the resin cures, the packer is removed and you have one repaired crack or joint.
