Inten Launch Reach, View and Clean

28/02/2012

Inten Reach, View and Clean has revolutionised the cleaning of gutters and fascias.  Using a lightweight high reach pole attached to a powerful vacuum and a jet wash hose, we are able to access the guttering of commercial and domestic premises directly from the ground.

Maintaining Gutters and Fascias

For property owners and site managers the regular maintenance and cleaning of high level external areas of buildings is essential. Clearing gutters, downpipes and fascias all help to keep the structure in good condition, as well as looking fresh and clean.

Potential Damage

Gutters direct rainfall away from buildings to protect the outer skin of the property as well as the foundations, so delaying the maintenance of these can lead to some unwanted and unnecessary complications.  A common problem from blocked guttering is that water can run down the walls of your building, not only causing flooding on the ground but the build-up of damp stains on the outer walls, which look unsightly to visitors  but also damage the walls.

Blocked gutters can become heavy from the extra weight of dirt and water which can cause guttering to pull away from your fascias and in some cases fall away from the building completely.

The challenge in getting to regularly clean these higher level areas for example on two or three storey buildings is a challenge.  The usual method is to erect scaffolding or use a high reach platform, such as a cherry-picker which will all to the cost of this maintenance.  For some buildings there is the added complication of limited access and the difficulty of being able to safely set up either of the these support methods.

A New Cost Effective Solution

Reach

The pole is an aerospace alloy tube which allows us to reach second and third storeys of buildings and access areas that may not be easily reached otherwise for example, over outbuildings, extensions, flower beds and unusual shaped buildings.

 View

A camera is attached to the pole which is able to provide an elevated fine detailed camera inspection survey. This allows us to view and record before, during and after our Reach, View and Clean gutter cleaning process, in real time.

The hand held screen provides instant playback of the video action, enabling the engineers to assess exactly what needs to be done.  It also provides us with the opportunity to provide a before and after image, so you can be sure a thorough job has been done.

For more complex projects, a survey can be undertaken to accurately assess the work that is necessary.  All footage can be recorded onto a DVD, so you can physically see just what needs to be done.  It records to SD memory cards, so there are no tapes to buy or convert, allowing replay on the DVR monitor, which

when linked  to a PC, can burn a DVD and be shown on any suitable TV, player or PC.

 Clean

Any heavily impacted soilage, rooted saplings and other blockages are broken up into manageable sized pieces with the gutter spike, which is attached to the high reach pole.

The gutter is then cleaned by a very powerful vacuum removing leaves, sticks, mud, pine needles and other debris that may be clogging gutters and spouts.

Finally we attach a high pressure jet washer hose with specially designed attachments to allow high areas to be cleaned with no loss of pressure.  The Flexi End fitting will hold its shape, enabling the cleaning of any angle, vertical or horizontal surface, which is perfect for the cleaning of commercial guttering.

Thoroughly rinsing gutters with clean water from top to bottom completes the process.  Gutters are left clean, functional, and ready to channel water away.  This process guarantees to remove 95% of all the leaves, weeds moss, dirt and debris.

Cladding, soffits, brick and stonework can also be easily cleaned; even high level graffiti can be removed.

Advantages of the Reach, View and Clean System

  • Costs are reduced by a minimum of 20%  - as there is no need for high reach platforms
  • Quality of work is ensured by being able to record and view before and after the cleaning process
  • Health and safety risks are reduced considerably as staff work from the safety of the ground
  • Environmentally friendly as no chemicals are used in the process
  • Cost effective cleaning of stone or concrete facades, cladding, and panelling can be undertaken at the same time
